Thanks Derek! I think sketching eyes is my forte...but then look at her feet, and you'll see a common weakness. ;)

Ooh, gotcha A. How's it coming?

Muri. We got ZERO explanation as to execution, and we're expected to simply swing the damn shinai without any help and just -emulate- the senior members. FEH, I SAY!

    Grr. F'ing GRR.

    ...Pardon my Francais.

I hear ya, Stallion. I guess today was one of mine. It's related to waaaaaaaaaaay too much stress on my shoulders, too much on my mind, and not enough focus to really unleash it all. Ever felt like that? (Hope you haven't...it's rough!)

Thanks! But is it good...? ;)

Thanks A! What have you been sketching?

This one was actually for an internet friend of mine (not a buzznetter, though I've tried), Alan. I love that man to DEATH, and he knows it! Incidentally, he likes it. :)

Beachie -- neat! I'd certainly love to see her work. Does she have any pointers for me?

Stallion -- one can dream. I'm not nearly of such caliber, but thanks! That's very flattering.

A -- haha, no. Ever heard of a shinai...?

Actually, big O, it's not her office. The guy who "lives" (overworks) there didn't bother trying to clean. There were files and pizza boxes strewn everywhere.... ^.^

The city wasn't one for parties, or at least, not the sort that -she- would go to. ^.^

Thanks Beach man! Is your daughter into art herself, or just into the anime/manga craze? Either way, it's a great love if you let it be; I've gotten so much into the cultural aspect, and it's just so neat, learning about people unlike yourself. The history is great too.

oh doh! sorry, i thought i had commented on it before.

but i think it looks great. i think you added lipstick now and full eyes. and the couch is now complete! :)

the stocking colors work for me cuz of the matching hair.

it gives me an impression that she's doing some last minute cleaning up before going out either on a night date or to some evening party with friends...but she's either not sure she wants to finish or if she wants to go to the party.

See, that's the thing. You figured out my little artistic interpretation of old, nasty walls. ^.^

It's not her office. It actually belongs to a run-down "gumshoe."

Photoshop and Illustrator and Quark, OH MY! ^.^

I haven't forgotten your message, while I'm thinking about it. My hard drive damn near died on me, and my reply was one of the open windows I lost. But I will get back to it. :)

About Me:

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has."
-Margaret Mead

I'm an eccentric artist, aptly nicknamed Phruit. My pen name is Lily Trindylle. I've more or less cut back my internet time, however, to pursue more tangible goals, so whatever you find under my pen name is liable to be ancient. I'm a high Soprano (I can't spell the actual term, sorry), and I like many kinds of music, including classical, alternative, Celtic, techno...you name it. I'm not fond of country or bluegrass. However, genres are pretty blurry to me, and are often little more than dubious labels anyways. It's easier to go by what I don't like, and then play the rest. I prefer live bands to the radio; there's something about a recording studio that falsifies and cheapens voices. Sing me something real.

My artistic style ranges from classical (oil, watercolor, pencil, ink, sculpture, and a touch of photography, for example) to anime/manga. I'm ever working on developing my artistic talent. I love to sketch my original fictional characters, and I have occasionally done commission work for other people as well. My big project now? Digital.

I love to horseback ride (English/Hunt Seat), and I like to drive my BMW (former BMWCCA member/autocrosser). I'm not your average girl; I've got two 12" subwoofers in my already small trunk in a custom box with an amp attached, and recently replaced rear speakers I blew so well (they say there's supposed to be felt in them or something, but I found no traces - not terribly familiar with all that).

I aspire to be a psychologist one day and a graphic artist now. Even as I pursued other venues, I found friends, sorority sisters, and loved ones coming to me for help with traumatic life issues. People drop their problems in my lap all the time -- why not counsel them properly (and make a living at that)? Graphic art? More than a hobby. Watch me flourish in both fields.

I am an alumnus of a very highly regarded international sorority, and I hold membership in two honor societies as well from my college days. That said, I hope to go back to school in the near future and excel even more with the realization that every note I take, every minute spent studying is another step toward a brighter future. Yes. Scary, but hopefully effective.

I'm a redheaded Sagittarius with a passion for many things in life. I'm highly opinionated and very much a type A personality and recognized leader, but I am also a lady, and (try to) carry myself appropriately.

My photography is meant to catalogue events, occasions, people, and loves in my life. Most often, my artwork and my pets are the subjects, though I've been known to photograph (other) objects of beauty, especially sunrises, sunsets, and other natural settings. Occasionally, I've consented to have MY photo taken as well, and a few images to that end have been posted here. Be gentle if you're going to comment on my appearance. I'm far more fragile than I'll ever let you see.

Favorite TV Shows:

Animal Planet Heroes, or whatever the title is now. I'm big into the education and public message. No animal deserves to suffer cruelty and neglect!

Favorite Books:

Anything in graphic design and printing right now. ::grin with a wink::
